The Bellevue-based startup is combining CareerArc’s social recruiting and job discovery technology with its AI hiring tools, extending its acquisition strategy across the recruitment process.
Bellevue, Washington-based hiring technology startup Humanly has acquired recruitment marketing company CareerArc, expanding its artificial intelligence platform to connect job advertising, candidate discovery, screening and interviewing.
The acquisition on October 14, 2026, brings CareerArc’s recruitment marketing capabilities into Humanly’s growing portfolio of hiring technologies. Financial terms were not disclosed. The transaction reflects Humanly’s strategy of combining specialized recruitment software into a more integrated platform for employers.
CareerArc Adds Recruitment Marketing and Job Discovery Tools
Founded in 2009 and based in Burbank, California, CareerArc develops software that helps employers promote vacancies and reach potential applicants through social media and digital career platforms.
Its products include HireSocial, which supports automated job distribution and social recruiting, and Job Maps, which helps candidates discover available positions by location.
These capabilities complement Humanly’s existing AI-powered tools for candidate engagement, automated screening, interview scheduling and assessment.
By connecting recruitment marketing with subsequent hiring activities, Humanly aims to reduce the need for employers to manage separate systems across the recruitment process.
The integration could be particularly relevant to businesses with high-volume hiring requirements, where attracting applicants and processing applications can create substantial administrative workloads.
Humanly Continues Its Acquisition-Led Expansion
Founded in 2018, Humanly is led by co-founder and CEO Prem Kumar.
The CareerArc transaction follows several acquisitions intended to broaden the company’s recruitment technology offering. In October 2025, Humanly acquired Sprockets, Qualifi and HourWork, adding candidate sourcing, automated voice screening and post-hire engagement capabilities.
The company subsequently acquired Anthill in April 2026, expanding its tools for supporting frontline employees after recruitment. CareerArc extends that strategy into the earlier stages of hiring, including employer visibility, job promotion and candidate attraction.
Together, the acquisitions illustrate Humanly’s effort to create a connected recruitment platform covering activities before, during and after hiring.
Humanly’s acquisition strategy reflects a broader trend in enterprise technology, where companies are combining specialized AI capabilities into integrated platforms. A similar approach is evident in Xseek’s acquisition of LLMONade to expand its enterprise AI platform.
Humanly Builds on $52 Million in Funding
The acquisition follows Humanly’s $25 million Series B financing announced in April 2026.
The round included participation from SEEK Investments, Drive Capital, Zeal Capital Partners and Converge, bringing the company’s reported total funding to $52 million.
Humanly has also expanded its commercial reach, reporting more than 120 customers, including Microsoft, Domino’s, Massage Envy and MGM Resorts. According to reporting on the CareerArc transaction, nine of CareerArc’s 13 employees are joining Humanly, bringing the combined workforce to approximately 50 people.
The company has been investing in technology that supports AI-assisted candidate interviews, automated communication and job-seeker services.
Its funding and acquisition activity demonstrate a strategy focused on broadening product capabilities, although the financial performance of the combined operations has not been publicly established.
AI Recruitment Platforms Move Toward Integrated Hiring
Humanly’s expansion comes as artificial intelligence changes how employers attract and evaluate job applicants.
AI-powered application tools have made it easier for candidates to apply to multiple positions, increasing the volume of applications employers must process. Recruitment software providers are responding by developing systems that automate candidate communication, screening and interview coordination.
For Humanly, integrating CareerArc could create a more continuous process connecting initial job discovery with candidate evaluation and subsequent employment activities.
However, automated hiring also raises questions about transparency, data privacy and potential bias in recruitment decisions.
Employers adopting these systems must ensure that automated processes remain appropriately supervised and comply with applicable employment and data protection requirements.
The CareerArc acquisition strengthens Humanly’s range of recruitment technologies, but its longer-term value will depend on successful product integration and measurable improvements for employers and candidates.
The move toward AI-assisted recruitment is part of a wider transformation in business operations, as explored in Founders Newswire’s analysis of emerging business trends shaping entrepreneurship.
